Rainy Days

Well we got rained out this weekend :(  I got my new camera, and it was POURING down rain all day on Sunday so we decided it was best to wait on the session I had planned.  Luckily we were able to reschedule the photos for next weekend.  So no new photos this weekend, but hold on because I have 3 sessions next weekend, so there will be lots of new photos to share!  I was able to sneak out for just a bit on Saturday in between rain showers, to try out the new camera for a few.  Doesn't my little one just look thrilled to be my model?!  (It was a great excuse to finally wear her cute raincoat though!) Loving the new camera though..can't wait to put it to good use!

Well this isn't photography related, but I definitely feel it's worth sharing with as many people as I can.  If you have a second, check out this site that was shared with me by a teacher I used to work with.  This story will make you cry and smile all at the same time.  I already ordered some cards myself.  What a fantastic thing this little girl is doing. Ever since I have a child of my own now, these stories just touch me like they never have before.  I can only imagine how difficult something like that must be.  Sometimes kids are just truly amazing, not to mention inspiring. How proud her daddy must be.

On The Way!!!!

OOHHH!!!  I'm so excited!  I've been thinking about it for awhile, and finally did it..I ordered a new camera!  A Canon 5d is on it's way to me and I can hardly wait!  My old Canon will become a back-up.  I can't wait to have this to use all summer!!!  Anyway, no new photos this weekend.  This was my first weekend since the middle of January I had no photos.  My niece had a big dance competition on Saturday I couldn't miss, and my mom, daughter and I had a date to the zoo today.  My husband had his big final presentation for his master's degree this weekend, and now he's all done!  So we had a busy weekend.  

I couldn't however, go a weekend without posting any photos, so here are a few snapshots from today at the zoo.  (Yes, I do take snapshots!)  One is of my little on, SO excited to be on the monorail, and the other is of her and I together. (She is much less excited in this one.  I think I was cramping her style!)  I will be back at it next weekend with new photos.  I plan to work hard on my website this week to hopefully have up and running in a few weeks!  Very exciting!  Have a great week :)

New Black and Whites!

I'm so excited!  I had an ah-ha moment today with my post-processing and figured out what I had been missing with my black and whites!  Ahhh...soo much better!  I LOVE them!  Here are a few of my cousin's little man from last weekend with my new conversion.  It is especially great for newborns!

Sweet and Sleepy

Oh my....just a warning..look at the following photos ONLY if you are prepared for some major baby fever!  This new little man is my cousin's baby and he is just about the most beautiful newborn ever!  He is two weeks old today, and was such a good little guy for his photos.  He was awake and showed off his eyes, and then he slept so well and let us try lots of things.  Like I said, just perfect!  I had so much fun meeting you today little man..mom and dad..hope he is all tired out for you tonight and sleeps great.  Love you guys!

Today I got to visit this little beauty.  I had so much fun with her, and her puppy too!  She was just a doll.  I tell you...little ones like her almost make me think I'm ready for another little one..but not quite yet!  Thanks for having me today!  Here are a few from today:

Oh The Cuteness!!!!

First of all, I LOVE this little man's outfit here.  These bright colors and the stripes just look so great in photos.  Combine that with his intense, big, brown eyes and wow...  I couldn't narrow it down as to which ones to post, so here are quite a few..and I haven't even edited half of them yet! He also really didn't enjoy sitting on my backdrops, so we just put it away and went with it, and I'm so happy with how they turned out.  It was really fun for me to get away from that for awhile too.  I had SO much fun with you guys today!!  I can't wait to get you the rest of them!

I made this collage for one of my friends who just had her baby.  I just wanted to share because I LOVE how it turned out.  I think it is just so sweet with both mom and dad, and that picture of her is one of my favorites.  Just wanted to share!
